In operation since early 2001 and in development years prior, we continue to operate in much the same way as at the conception. Hands on, service and quality first.

Bill Potter, owner and president of SMC has been an island fixture since before he could walk. His family home on the island was a grand old dame that stood out on a cliff overlooking the ocean. From early on he learned to appreciate the architecture and style that makes Vineyard houses unique. His home required much in the way of maintenance over the years, and he learned to love taking care of it as if it were a member of the family.
This lead to a passion, not just for older houses, but to do things right and to make sure the work was an improvement to the property. Soon he was making repairs and painting at friends’ homes, and has not looked back since.
Sometimes what we were meant to do simply finds us.

Squash Meadow Construction is licensed by the state of Massachusetts to build structures of up to 35000 cubic feet.  We are also licensed for all phases of remodeling and renovation.  We are fully insured and carry general liability insurance. All of our employees are covered by workman’s compensation.

Squash Meadow Construction builds new houses and additions, and we renovate older homes.
